Sad indeed.
Still, I'm repeatedly surprised at the high esteem at which folks seem to hold politicians. This is the kind of behavior I'd expect from them. Politicians are, by and large, self-centered, arrogant egomaniacs who think they know better than everyone else. I have never found a politician I thought was worth his or her weight in cow dung. Every time I think I've found one with some common sense, he or she turns around the next month and does something really assinine. Voting these days has become nothing more than choosing the
least objectionable candidate.
