I figured as much. I wanted to varify it before I reported the person who sent it to me.
Thanks a million! PIF (a common translation language that serves as a bridge among heterogeneous process representations), local translators between PIF and local process representations, and a mechanism for extending PIF to accommodate different expressive needs in a modular way (Partially Shared View).
I reported them. Why people do stuff like that...

| Any email attachment with two extensions is very very likely a virus and should be treated as such...

I don't know the person that sent it to me. So I am assuming they did it intentionally. I read the link Edwelly posted as well and it talks about how the .pif is generated and used. More good info.
thanks everyone. I didn't download it, so my machine didn't get infected.

There is also a good chance that the person doesn't know you, nor does he know he sent it to you. I've had it happen to me as well. There was one virus that was sent to me can't remember which one. But it actually got sent to me through our webmaster acct. Apparently he had visited our site and of course the webmaster email addy is on the page. The virus searched through the IE Cache and sent to all email addy's in there as well. At least that is what the page told me that I had read about it. Seems a bit more than possible, but this is MS we're talking about.
