Turkish ambassador would'nt rule out going into Iraq

The Turkish ambassador refused to rule out the "possibility that they may go into Iraq if a situation is warranted". I.E. to quell any Kurdish thoughts of nationhood - and sieze real prize - the oil wells in the northern part of Iraq. Since there is no Northern front, this could get stickey. Turkey's economy is in the crapper now for sure, and free oil may be a temptation. You can be sure that US forces will suddenly appear to prevent this unless the Turks have the balls to start shooting. No one expects that.

OMG

Turks should not go into Iraq for oil.

No blood for oil.

Geeze now we know why they would not allow us to go in from their territory. Because they have designs on collecting oil from iraq.

they were saying this was all about protecting fellow muslims.

Shahani??? any comments.

Of course this is all speculation unlike the oil grab the USA is trying to do right.

I think quite the contrary.

Turks are trying to appease the US. They are two-sides SOBs. Having refused help to the US, they are now saying we may chip in if "the situation warrants". Craperoo!!

Everyone will try and grab oil. They'd be stupid not to. I know I'd grab. And GWB is certainly not stupid.

The oil will pay for the war and its aftermath.
