Dual use chemicals - What like soybeans which can be used in bioweapons? Or cyanide used in like a million industrial processes?
Biological agents which are sold to every research hospital up until recently.
I would not call that aiding saddam on more than an economic front unless you use hind sight. I would like to see the memo's that were sent reguarding the bio agents sent. Saddam would have a good case for experimentation with anthrax as sheep and other hoofed animals are prone to this disease.
Of course these could be bad decisions if we sent millions of tones of cyanide beyond reasonable industrial use or like germany after the use of such agents in weapons of mass destruction.
Basically once again the arguements are all boiler plate arguements no new evidence here.
As far as our support of saddam in the past well this is simple he was the lesser of two evils at the time (well apparently that was a mistake. Or was it? There is a groundswell movement in Iran moving toward democracy among the youth which now out number the old.)
At the very least at least now the leader we assisted will now be going the way of the Dodo. Democratization of Iraq and Iran maybe such a bad plan after all.
Besides I never watch tv anyways
