Outdoors RIAA stealing copyrighted material

What a bunch of screaming hypocrites. This video by Jennifer Hanson uses a background from Ryan Bliss's Digital Blasphemy without his permission. I think he should sue them for $17 billion.

EDIT: Scroll down and click "See It" under her name.

Ok so then steal from RIAA/record companies/software companies/programmers and artists.

BTW if she stole it she should pay. She is the one who sold it to the label.

M_Six, The RIAA has been stealing copyrighted material for a long time, I posted an example of this with the CD logo on thier copyprotected CD format.

CD logo guarentees compliance to redbook audio, however the copy protection they used altered this format. Philips was the main company involved, but chose to shove them rather then sue them.

They are hypocrates, Epidemic, please refrain from trying to push another morals thread, M_Six said nothing about this justifying piracy.

RIAA did not steal this tune near as I can tell. She did.

They purchased her work. If the courts the allegations up they should not sell any more and must give their profits to the artist.

She should pay through the nose.

I wouldn't get into that argument, Epidemic. You've already proven that you are a hypocrite when it comes to copyright violations.

Hmm. Thanks for jumping to my defense, Wizzard, but I obviously didn't read Epidemic's post the same way you did.

I think he was saying that if they're willing to steal copyrighted stuff, then they shouldn't complain when others do it to them.

BTW, this goes for everyone, including Ryan at DB. Stealing copyrighted material is wrong, and people who live in glass houses....well, you know.

EDIT: Wow, that was quick. I leave for a second to type a reply and there's three more posts when I get back. In any case, I misread Epidemic's post, too. I see what he's saying now. I think he has a point. If she produced that video and sold it to them, then the fault lies with her.

Yikes - what is this, Bash Epidemic Day?

Don't let them get you down E-man. I may not agree with you sometimes (though usually I do) butI do think you always can be counted on for bringing a different prospective to the conversation.
