Online Airline Venders..

Hi everyone.
I was looking for a company like Priceline that lets you name your own price but let's you see if the price is accepted before you have to enter your credit card information.

I am planning a short trip and was hoping to find something like priceline..
I have been looking at price line but it doesn't say if your price is accepted until you enter your credit card information...

Any suggestions?

I've never tried it but you can try www.hotwire.com
Supposed to be roughly the same deal.. maybe try ebay?

Ouch maybe I won't be going on my small trip if I can't find airfare for under $1K...
I really wish Priceline with it's "Make your own price" would tell you if that price would be accepted...

Mike, on priceline if I'm not mistaken you name your own price. If you get that price it automatically goes through.. if it does not than they come back to you with a valid price..
I always wondered why people don't just bid one dollar?

That's a flawed theory vass. Go to priceline and test it out.
Once you enter your credit card number then it accepts it... If it's too low they deny you.

Bid 50% of what your max for this trip would be.

then work your way up in halfs. until the price hits were you wont consider it.

Lets say the online standard fare is 1000 but you will only go if it does not exceed 500 bucks so offer 250 if that is denied offer 375 then 425 then 500 or something like that.

if they deny you then say oh poo.

In fact that's what I did last time. I will probably start at $1 anyway.
