If your car is insured by State Farm,

you're no longer covered for damage by nuclear weapons. (No naughty words, even though this link was suggested by Dave Barry.)

Nice show of confidence, that one is.

Like a good neighbor, State Farms is there, unless you get nuked and want in on their bomb shelter.

Haha, I find it quite humorous. You know, my cars damage's would be the last item on my mind should my car ever get nuked. And furthermore, so what? The vast majority would never be able to file a claim for it anyways.

What do you mean Prex?

I agree ILC. If my car was damaged by a Nuke, I'd be a little more worried about the fact that my skin was melting than making a claim on the family truckster.

State Farm, the nation's largest auto and home insurer, appears to be catching up with its competitors. Most insurance companies already exclude nuclear attacks or accidents in both home and auto insurance policies, said Jeanne Salvatore, a spokeswoman for the trade group Insurance Information Institute. (State Farm already has the nuclear exclusion in its homeowners' policies.)

Outdoors You trying to get me Worried ?

I only have my Silver Phaeton, and two Morgan +4's insured with State Farm.

My Daimler-Benz 300 SL Gullwing is with State Mental. Car thinks it can fly ! Flaps its doors every chance it gets, forcing me to rent two indoor parking lots

But my MG-TDA is uninsured. Do you think it should ?

I have my favorite Fire Hydrant insured AT Lloyds.

Yeah ! But my Norton 750....well who'd steal that ?

Come to think of it...What's K N THEAD riding nowadays.....haven't seen the Norton since my stay at Jenner , on the Russian River. I picture him more as Suzuki 150 type....with a custom wooden frame

With a little more inside knowledge than the article, I have found that State Farm NEVER intended to insure against a nuclear attack. There was never mention of them covering, or not covering such an attack in any of the paperwork. By doing this they finally 'covered their bases' on such a catastrophe.

ILC, didn't you ever hear their jingle? "Like a good neighbor, State Farms is there."
