Just wondering if anyone new about how they rate these superbright led's
I have found some 8000 mcd white 5mm led's

Will they be as bright a those super bright led keyrings

Or is 8000mcd pretty lame.....

Hw many volts and milliamps ill it need???????????

I am a Law Enforcement officer and now LED's are replacing strobe lights because of their britness and durabiality. Plus no heat.
Hope this helps. I think they are measured in Lumens.

I've got 5 LED's in this picture. They all are in the range of 5000mcd. I think you find the whites at a higher number because they aren't being dimmed down at all by the color. They are called Laser LED's or SuperBright LED's....or just X000mcd LED's at Radio Shack.

Red fury did you make the circuit yourself,

What kind of power draw do these superbright led's have...

Do they use a lot more than a conventional led...

Ive seen some green ones at 13 000 mcd but they are nearly twice the price.. than a standard superbright???

For the 5 led's you used what kind of battery/power supply did u have running them???
