I picked up my new Sony Cybershot last night. Couldn't resist playing with it today. Here's some pics of "The Office".
Pic1 is the OpCenter as seen from the entryway. There are 5 dual-monitor workstations. The OC is manned 24x7.
Pic2 is the OpCenter as seen from the opposite wall, which is between the OC and the Data Center.
Pic3 is looking across the OC to the Data Center beyond the glass wall. The message board alerts us to various issues including network or server problems, unresolved tickets, personnel passing through secure doors, and weather.
Pic4 is a bank of server racks in the Data Center. There are six rows of these. The Data Center is monitored for heat and humidity and is powered through a massive UPS system.
Pic5 is a favorite with tour groups. This is our IBM tape-backup. It has a 6 terabyte capacity and each of those cabinets is the size of a refrigerator. The tapes are loaded and unloaded by a robot running on a track inside the cabinets.
