Yesterday evening, my girlfriend's pharmacy called and informed her that her insurance company would no longer cover her lactose pills because they are offered over-the-counter. She requires these because she is lactose intolerant and can't eat foods with milk in it because she will throw-up or get diarrhea (sp?).
Does anyone know of any replacements that must be prescribed so she can have it covered through her insurance plan?
