Whey Protein Isolate (WPI)

Anyone here use Whey Protein Isolate? It's supposed to be the most BV of the protein supplements, no?

I need to start getting more protein with no fat and fewest cals (goal is to lose fat, weight while continuing to build muscle) ... So many products..

here's a site I've been looking at:
http://www9.netrition.com/whey_protein.html

What do you weight trainers recommend if you're not using to gain weight?

This whey is yogurt, no? Or derived from yogurt/milk. Hence animal protein.

I read somewhere that non-animal proteins like in beans, lentils, and so on are the best in terms of protein to fat ratio. I'll try and find a link.

But my understanding is any protein derived from animals is not totally fat free.

Have you thought about hard boiled egg whites? They pack about the most protein you can get from the fewest amount of calories and are fat free.. From what I remember. Plus it's not a processed food, like a powder. Just seems to me it is healthier.

RADAR1797 is on a distinguished road
My suggestion that worked well was nonfat cottage cheese (about 100 g of protein) mixed with a can of tuna (another 33 g of protein). This was a lot cheaper than the supplements and almost fat free too.

Egg whites, tuna (in spring water), white chicken, and lots of water! Save ya lots of $$$!

I really like NITRO-TECH .

I've used it several times (using it now as a matter of fact) and I build muscle fast without gaining the extra fatty weight. It's a good protein to use if you're concerned with lean muscle gain while avoiding the fat.

Remember though, what works for me might not work for you...I've had several friends try the latest & greatest, NO2...some love it, some hate it.

I would post up a flexing pose, but GZ might get excited.

I eat lots of non-fat cottage cheese, chicken breast, fish, non-fat milk .. I don't eat eggs as much.

Would be used as a drink just before hitting the gym.. to get the most out of my workout time...

From my understanding, Isolate is for use just before a workout to get the most out of muscle training... and since I don't like training on food in my stomach and I don't always like to wait a few hours after eating, the Isolate sounds like a good idea...

The concentrate is more for sustaining protein levels, no? I'm not interested in that as much, as I can get that with foods...

Am I on track here?

Thanks for the links, guys

I eat tuna straight from the can...to be honest I love it. The albacore is a little more expensive, but soooo yummy!
