My kitty has a belly????

My 16 week old kitty has somewhat of a belly hangign down.... Is this a bad sign?

I had just switched to some pine cat litter and the cat didn't like it so it peed on my school papers......

What do I do if the cat doesn't like the litter, switch AGAIN?

I assumed that it peed becuase it doesn't like the litter. It also pooped beside the litterbox.

Now could this peeing on my school stuff have anything to do with the belly?

Maybe I'm just feeding it too much....

thats why you feed them what it says on the bag... like 1/2 cup a day for little ones and when they get older like a cup a day

my cat has his bowl always full, and he eats all the time and he is very lean - but he is also constantly playing with the dog.....whether he likes it or not

Cats do not like change. She probably did not appreciate the litter change. You might want to try switching back. Another possibility is that the box is too small or covered. They do not generally like covered boxes. Most of them will use it anyways, but some won't.

Have you had the kitty into the vet? It may have worms. A distended tummy is one of the symptoms. I had mine wormed right away because she was found outside and testing for worms is $12 where actually worming them is $6. Cheaper just to treat for some reason.

I would try mixing several types of kitty litter together, that is what we do.
Get a bag of the more expensive stuff and get a bag of the cheap stuff and put half and half..See how that works..

My teachers definetely wouldn't buy the "Cat peed on my homework story. )

I at one point had a retriever-chow mix that ate my sons homework once. I scolded the dog and then laughed my a@@ off for about ten minutes. My son was like my teacher is never going to believe this. I told him to take the shreds in and if she had a problem with it to have her call me. She didn't call. Good thing too cause I was going to tell her she could have the rest of it when it came out of the other end of the dog.
