I'll go measure it right... now.

Seriously, I'll reply in a minute or two.

[EDIT]

35" x 24" x 18" (width x height x depth)

It's wood burning..

[/EDIT]

No problem. I didn't measure the frame around it, which could very well be a part of the unit... But just add about 4" or so around all four sides.

Hey Surreal! The place I keep my homefires burnin' measures 24" (height) X 42" (width) and 24" (depth).

I strongly recommend adding a gas line, which ends in a piece of drilled 3/4" black iron pipe.

Ooh, la la, fa-WOOOOM!!

I would go for gas, but I can't resist the scent that the woodburning puts off into the house. I love it. Oohh... Especially with certain types of wood.

Hey Knotty -
When I was a kid we had a fireplace with a gas line in it. It was always fun watching my stepfather start a fire in that thing. Just load the wood, turn on the gas and strike a match. Like you said "fa-WOOOOM!!!" Instant fire!

Oh, the gas doesn't change it from woodburning to something else, it just makes it really easy to light.

Yeah, I love the scent of woodburning.
