Systems Tragedy strikes another nightclub

I can't believe this has happened again so soon.

The 80s band Great White was playing. The lead guitarist, Ty Longley is missing.

WPRI in Rhode Island was filming a "television feature in the aftermath of last week's deadly nightclub stampede in Chicago". Guess they got what they were looking for.

Wow, fifty some people. Apparently, they tried a "pyrotechnic" display in a relatively small room.

I guess Jesse Jackson won't be able to bail out the club owner in this case.

Incredibly stupid people. Live fireworks, low ceilings, packed room.

Just waiting for a disaster to happen.

Extremely fierce fire/smoke shown on TV this morning. They had the video tape of when and how the fire started. When the walls caught fire, the people still didn't get it for a few minutes then all of a sudden a stampede.

They reported that many more people still in the building and not yet identified.

Extremely tragic.

Advise to my son this A.M.: LOOK FOR THE FREAKING EXITS!!!

He is 17 and goes to these small clubs where local bands play. In the mosh pit, etc. You never know when you have said your final goodbye.

Hope he listened to me. God rest the souls of the deceased and comfort to their families.

A song, "Burning House of Love," from a recent album by Great White, the band that was playing at the night club:

Quote:
Drive by my house late at night,
you can see it from the freeway above,
No silhouette, but a light left on,
burnin' there for love, burnin' there for love.

Smoke is risin' from the black,
comin' out my back door.
I'm inside, sound asleep, a cigarette on the floor,
burnin' there for love, burnin' there for love.

Well, I can still remember a couple of years ago,
when the smoke and flame from our name,
was a burnin' house of love, burnin' house of love.
a burnin' house of love...
Burnin' house of love, burnin' house of love.

The rusty nail over our front door,
is where I hung our tears in the rain.
I threw that horseshoe into the weeds,
I seen what love can bring, I seen what love can bring.

Now you're in your bed and I'm in mine,
on either side of town;
I think I might take a little ride,
and burn your love house down,
like a burnin' house of love, a burnin' house of love.

Burnin' house of love.
