Nope. Not for a second. It's always been a big, nasty ogre waiting for someone to wake it up. When it does finally awake, it'll be plenty hungry and mean.
NOTE: So as to avoid confusion and misinterpretation, the term "ogre" refers to the war, not North Korea.

Is the US being procative or provocative here?
Be interesting to read the history accounts of this one later - if there is anyone left to read them that is.
Cheers

The government's assests are so large, they would be able to fight 2 war and be effecient. The thing is with Korean, they have millions of troops, and each of them are trained equally in guerilla warefare. What the US has, that helps us, is MONEY. Our government buys some of the more expensive warefare equipment in the world. If we had the man power of Korean, and the technology we have now. We could be able to take the WORLD! BWHAHAHA.... (sorry, got carried away)

When we didn't kick their A$$ in the fifties, they were just biding their time to cram it right down our throats. Obviously, they think the time has come. I'm facing the reality , that soon we'll be engulfed in a very serious conflict on at least two fronts, times are going to get alot worse than they are now, and the world as we know it is in for a radical change. Get your mind set NOW, Times are a changin'

There is a threat, but, IMO, there is no real way to stop it without a war.
IMO, the Bush Administration needs to take into consideration, that even though in the 50s we had one of the most powerful armies in the world, we almost lost against the North Koreans (they were VERY close to overrunning South Korea and pushing US and UN forces off the Korean Peninsula).
