Regardless of whether or not I still live there, I'll put up with statements made jokingly... But after finally watching a "CANADA LOVES NEW YORK!" commercial for a new, large
Canadian-based campaign - if I hear ONE untasteful joke or insult towards Canada not being "supportive" or being some sort of liability in regards to recent world problems, I *strongly* encourage those that do that sort of thing to
think again before they consider posting something like on these forums, or allow me to hear it in any conversation. Before I saw that commercial, I probably could have just not said anything - but not anymore.
More so just a forewarning to those who are inconsiderate, as per this thread so far - I haven't really found anything all that "harsh"...
As for how many troops and the amount of equipment that they will be sending, I think that tens of thousands of people are better than none. You should always bear in mind that Canada has never initiated a war, and has always kept good ties with most other countries to ensure that one is never waged against them. And if that ever did happen, their many allies would much more than likely come with assistance.
I'm just glad to see other countries sending their troops in to help.
