Where did it all go?

I turned 40 last November and was wondering when I’m going to go through my midlife crises. I think something’s wrong though. I have no desire to buy a fast car or try to pick up women half my age. Believe me I would love both. I just don’t desire those things. I’m not married and have no kids so nothings holding me back. I get more excited when a better video card comes out than when some hot woman passes by. If truth be told I don’t feel 40. I feel more like 60 or 70. I’m turning into a grouchy old man and I refer to things like “when I was a young man we didn’t have this easy.” It really is true when you hear people say. I wish I could go back and do it all over again. I know I’d do it differently

It didn't go anywhere. You are what you are and should be proud of that. If you feel the boat has past you by, it's never too late to get on board and get connected. As far as women go, there are plenty out there, don't be afraid to go a looking. Imagine a "Geek Girl" would be more your type. Maybe evn a TechImo member. Why don't you ask ???? She might even have a better video card than you!!!!

If you feel as if you missed the boat.................catch another one! I know 40 seems bad right now, but it's just the birthdays that end in 0 that mess with your mind. Take my word (I'm 47), the 40's aren't all that bad.

I'm headed to 40 in a couple of years, the bad thing is that the women half my age are my daughters friends Wow am I glad I'm married

If you feel like your missing something, go out and see why you feel that way is my suggestion. If you are enjoying life, and really have no desire for a change then hey, happy is happy, what more could you want??

Life is what you make of it. Not someone else's idea of what they think you should make of it. Whjat you make of it.

I turned 40 last year. Married, 2 kids, steady work. No fast cars, no real mid-life crisis, so I can't say I can emphatise with you even.

But... I do know that new video cards have more appeal than other women! (not more that my wife, though... )!

The other advice in here is good - look at yourself closely: if you are happy, stay the way you are. If you aren't, look at what needs changing, then go about changing it.

Whatever you do, try to have fun!

Cheers
Mick

A good hooker would be quite helpful with those feelings. Although I have to admit I get pretty excited about a new video card too.
