Are these prices fair? snow shoveling...
As everyone knows that lives in the east, lots of snow coming, maybe 2 feet. Im gonna go out shoveling but i need to know what prices you think are fair for 2 feet. Vote for what you think. Or if you have something better please tell me. Also, does anyone know how much it costs to have it plowed professionally? i dont wanna charge more than them.

Price by the length and width...
You see right now I got a wide drive, buts it's all of two car lengths long. My last house had a narrow driveway, but it was over half a block long1 (It was the alley that all the houses originally had driveways off of, but we were the only ones still using it).
So my advice would be to set your prices by the "car length", that is the number of cars that would fill the driveway. (that alley would probably hold twenty five-thirty)

| last time we had 8 inches of snow i charged $15 bucks and some people even gave me $20. I like CERuppel idea, i think i will give that a try. let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

It takes about an hour to shovel 6-8 inches on an average driveway. $10.00 an hour seems fair. If someone really doesn't want to go out and shovel there driveway I guess they may choose to pay more. I guess I'm just old school. I'd rather do it myself than pay someone more than I make an hour.

Shawshank - just a tip.. go to apartment complexes - their complex will plow, but the cars will be plowed in.
Many apt. people do not have shovels.
It's quicker work. I used to go door to door at the Blair Mill apts. and let the customer set the price - $10, $15 etc.. if under 10, I'd say sorry, no thanks.
