heehee, I used to work for a furniture manufacturer that sold couches wholesale for about 8 grand.
I used to say anything I buy that costs that much better have a transmission!

Just went back and looked at the prices... Wow!

Actually I was so much into the wood work I hadn't looked at the prices.

WOW!! Wild stuff! Thanks, Carl!

Besides the incredible skill seen here, this type of work takes a long time to develop, let alone to fashion out of wood. If you add it all up and do all the math, I'd bet this guy is making maybe 15 to 25 bucks an hour, and that assumes he's selling all that he makes!

I had some paintings up at a gallery not long ago, and one of them (John Lee Hooker) was priced at $4500.

This kid walks up to it and says a "Whoa-I-could-buy-a-car-for-what-this-costs" kind of thing...

So I hope he got his car...he sure as hell is never going to have my work in his environment to enjoy...
