Amazing. I didn't know they had it in them. Quote: |

| Please... don't make me puke. I had to drive an '89 taurus for over a year, about 5 years ago. Let's just say I like my '89 Accord better. Not only is it still worth more now (5 years older, and with nearly twice as many miles as the taurus) it's also much more fun to drive.

It should be---the Taurus platform is almost 20 years old---
Its my rent-a-car choice for about 8000 miles a year tho, I just dont fit as well in the Camry especially if im gonna use it a few days at a time...

As a ford owner I'm not surprised that they would admit defeat.I mean I think an omish station wagon, and a clydesdale would be better except for road cleanup

it doesnt really matter if Toyota is better than Ford or the other way around. IMHO they both suck.

The best vehicle I ever had, hands down, was my old Toyota 88' van!!! I bought that little sucker when it already had 130,000 miles on it and I drove it for five years and never had to replace anything major! My best friend's wife has it now with 180,000 and she beats the crap out of it and it's still running, go figure! I've had to replace several radiator hoses but that's been it. I'm driving a Ford Winstar (96') and I think I made a big mistake giving that old van away. I hate this Windstar! |

I have a pal with an '03 Taurus provided by his work---he is on his 2nd tranny in under 10,000 miles---not a good sign...
I might have to begin to stuff myself in the Camry or be stuck on the side of the road...

I only ever owned one Ford, a 65 Mustang that I drove in college. Well, actually, thanks to that Mustang, I ended up doing a lot of walking in college. Kept me in good shape. That's the last Ford I'll ever own.
