What engine part is this???

Hi guys!


My buddy challenged me to name the engine part, specifically the silver line you see running from that big piece at the top of the picture...I don't know jack about engines so I can't even guess.
It's just a friendly bet, so of course getting your help is ok!

Feel free to name any other parts you see, I'll throw all I can at him...he's a car whiz.

If it helps, the engine is inside this truck that runs 13's in the 1/4 mile!

Looks like the line is part of the air conditioning system.

Just a guess --if the picture was bigger it would be easier to make out.

Ahh Martoch, I would suggest sending the pic to BigBlue77. He knows his way around the mechanics of a car.

Yeah, he purposely cut out most of the picture so it would be more difficult...heck I wouldn't know what it was if I had a picture with labels.


My guess is that it is carrying nitrous straight into the diesel...how else would a diesel truck get so fast?!

It's a Nitrous solonoid which injects a mist into the CAI (Cold Air Intake).
