I would figure the evening would likely be a "wash" anyway, so I find a woman i don't like and just have the flowers and candy delivered, and stay home with the cats!
Much easier on the nerves. |

Having just read all the replies, I'm getting the funny feeling that a lot of the guys here are brutally honest in being forthcoming about not having a girl, or being highly undesirable. Is that my impression?
Well, I feel the same way too. Seems like most of the women out here today are a lot like the women on "Joe Millionaire". Seems they all just want the money.
Gotta love yourself before you can love someone else. Me, I'm happy being single. No rough entanglements.

We'll be having two cans of Beef Mini-Ravioli =)
My wife and I were teenagers when I proposed to her on Valentines Day... High School sweethearts if you will. I proposed that night by a campfire we built out in the middle of nowhere =) It was a real clear, star filled night (thankfully)... and like I said, we were teenagers, so neither of us had much money, which is where the Mini-ravioli comes in. We warmed up a couple of cans on the campfire =) Ahhh, nothing like a good canned dinner =)
Anyway, ever since then she insists we eat Mini-ravioli out of a can on Valentines Day =)

Well my g/f of 2+ years and I are fighting right now, so if she's lucky she'll get a soft kick in the rear for Valentine's Day!
Good luck with that party Mick, sounds like you and your wife are going to have your hands full! |

| i think your impression is partially correct, although it seems to me that i have noticed a pretty good amount of couples on the board. but anyway, i'm single at the moment because i choose to be. after this one night with this girl that i was starting to get close to (let's just say it involved her and alcohol), i've realized some things about myself and am going through some changes, so right now i cant really even begin to think about someone else while i'm not even sure about myself. maybe next valentine's day.

Just remember, Valentine's Day is mainly a female holiday as guys see it. My gifts are flowers, chocolates, cards and a Gund teddy bear. Gotta Get a Gund!
One for the guys now.
The newest male holiday that is in its infant stages is February 13th.
It is supposed to be "Steak and oral sex day" (Sorry, I hope I don't get banned for this one). I think it is supposed to come with a six pack of your favorite beverage also. http://www.geocities.com/steakandbj/index.html I'm now ducking from the flak from our female members of the forums.

If cupid comes near me I'm going to tear his wings off and feed them to Knothead's cats. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
How about I bring over a case of something not so non-alcoholic and we write a bunch of anti-love songs, AE?
Seriously, I'll probably take a friend of mine out to dinner since we're both single and she's about as happy with boys as I am with girls.

Sounds good Whir. Here's the deal: The Ex© was sick earlier this week and called and asked me to get some candy for her. Being the nice person I am I did so. Then we watched a movie and ate candy and cuddled all evening.
Called her yesterday. She's better but she didn't think she was gonna party this weekend because she has been sick and her mother has a birthday on saturday. Well there goes my chances of being drunk with her and all my hopes of some temporary love this weekend. Bah.
So...I'm gonna buy myself a bottle of Southern Comfort for myself tomorrow. Still gonna give her a "love" letter tho.
