I have my last simulator mission of undergraduate navigator school in the morning. Hopefully, it will be my last time in the simulator complex for the next few years (if I don't pass, I'll be doing it again on Thursday. As for the next few years, many come back to teach after flying in their assigned aircrafts for a couple of tours). I say undergraduate nav school, because I have a grad course (of sorts) to learn my specific aircraft systems after I finish here in late March. We fly in another squadron in a different aircraft after this mission tomorrow, but for all intents and purposes, this mission tomorrow is the end of the graded phase of nav school. My aircraft will be the B-52. I can't wait.

I'll talk to you all after the mission tomorrow.

Best of luck to you buddy...I was given a "free ride" in one of those simulators for a telephone job I did once, it was a C-130 I got to fly. Oh yeah, I was a natural...naturally dangerous!!!

Well, I passed! Yippie!

I hit the target well within parameters and my timing was "spot on".

And I didn't get shot down. Unfortunately, one member of our class did get shot down and he was the only one that did not pass. We were all very bummed out about that.

But, I have a couple of days off while he does his re-check, so there is at least some silver lining. I would have rather not had the days off for that reason, but I will take them begrudgingly....

I got my publications to start reading for the next phase of flying training. I am looking forward to getting out of the sims and back into an aircraft. It's so much more fun up there.
