Tech Cheesy Jewelry Repair

I have a metal arrowhead necklace that I've worn pretty much everyday for a number of years.. I bought it for 3 bucks, but it has some meaning to me. The problem is, the eye where the necklace goes through the arrowhead is beginning to wear a bit thin from constant friction against the necklace. I thought about just dropping some solder in there for an easy fix but don't have a soldering iron

Any ideas for a quick fix?
Its just plain metal as far as I can see, certainly no gold or anything valuable involved.

What about some Liquid Steel? Parts suppliers and wal-mart carry it,just a few bucks, (prolly more than the necklace though ) it sets solid though.

Since it does have meaning to you why not break down and give a jeweler 15 bucks to fix it? Heck have it Gold plated
