Very true CM. I never looked at it that way.

Bush has pushed himself into a corner. He can't back off now. Too much commitment in terms of deployment of troops, his stand in front of the people here inthe US, his position in the global community.

If he backs off now, he'll be labeled a coward and ridiculed not only by the world community and the Arabs but by his own Right Wing hawkish GOP.

And if he does go to war, he better be right in his assessment of the WOMD and real threats to the US from them.

And he better finish the war and tie up loose ends.

Or it'll be another Vietnam.

Big stakes here for GWB.
