I deeply respect the Presidency, but I don't respect the man!
I've got a problem. All my life, I've been taught to revere the Office of the President, and I truly do so. It bothers me greatly when I cannot abide by the man who occupies the office! Mr Bush is probably a good, kindhearted man, in many ways, but I don't think he's worthy of the office. I'm fearful of the people he has around him as well. That's the real dilemma that Americans have. We grow up to honor the office and, in doing so, we confuse the man with the office! We end up thinking that the man is intellectually on the same plain as our previous Presidents. President Bush has been called an "Idiot" by other foreign statesmen, and that bothers me no end. What bothers me about it is the fact that they're correct! He's not worthy of the office, nor was Clinton! Only because he unzipped his fly.
Now our leader is going to unleash Armaggeden in the middle east and untold numbers of innocent human beings are going to suffer, not to mention our own troops, etc. Where is the sanity in all of this?? We've expended billions of $$$ getting all our troops and equipment over there and now we have to blow up Bagdhad! I will never understand how we got this far? |

Ah continue in your confusion. Maybe if you are lucky one day it will become clear to you and you will realize how foolish you were. At least you don't defend Clinton, there is hope for you yet.

Glohworm, you have stated the unspeakable, and written the unwritable.
I am sorry to say, but I agree. I have no faith in this guy that occupies the Oval Office.
I think the thing that drives us crazy is the suspicion that at one time, real MEN walked this land. Men who lived and died for the dream that is America.
Now we have only opportunistic leaches wrapping themselves in the flag as they distract us from what they are REALLY doing, namely, the financial rape of America.
Saddam Hussein? heh. Auf weiderseihn! |

wah wah wah its really getting old listening to the Bush haters.
They say anti war when they are really anti-bush
They say he's too stupid. He is not! Get used to him. He's going to be around for about 6 1/2 more years.
You could take an extended vacation to, pick one- Saudia Arabia, Iraq, Yemen, Somalia, France, Germany, Afghanistan, South Africa, or any where you chose and not worry about Bush
I'm sure you would find many friends who would agree with you.
edit:Ohhhh no knot say it ain't so oh no. Have you been using too much laquer today. I know it's some strong stuff as I sprayed many a gallon.

Hey if you are going to Afghanistan, bring lots of bottled water and be real careful where you step. The country side North of Kabul is beautiful if you can forget about what lurks six inches under the ground you tread.

M_Six,
Sorry there was nothing substantive in his post. He was venting irrationally, so patronizing remarks were appropriate. Now if Glohworm were to come up with some salient points in which to discuss, the members of the forum will more than happy to engage him on an intellectual level.

Some people just don’t get it
Some people just don’t get it. I guess you rather have the United States wipe off the face off the planet than fight. Let’s face it. We are fighting for our survival here people. If we don’t take care of these rouge countries and groups of terrorist, we will not have a country for long. We live in the greatest nation that ever was or ever will be. So many have died to ensure this and yet we don’t care. One day you will be sorry. By then it will be too late.
