Industrial strength Dog Toys!

I can't seem to find anything the dog doesn't destroy in about 5 minutes! She whistles through a raw hide bone (the 8-10" size) in about 15 minutes. She ate one of those indestructible Nyla bones a couple days ago. I got her this cool very tough looking toy that made neat noises thinking I had one she couldn't eat and it had a dangerous hole in it in about 3 minutes!
Short of a Motor Cycle tire any suggestions? (she weighs about 55 lbs now and is about 10 months old)

If you have a Petsmart near, look for a Kong toy. they are rubber and damm near bullet proof. They have models for heavy chewers, and one named King Kong for bigger dogs.
they have several different sizes for all the size range of dogs.
As for the bike tires, Dunlop 207's give pretty good mileage and dont take a long time to warm up...

Give her something bigger to play with that she cant chew up, a friend had the same problem and was resorting to buying a GIANT cow bone from a butcher (about 2½ feet long) but the dog would still mow thru it in a few days could eat those smoked pigs ear things like potato chips---he finally bought a ball from Petsmart that he could put water in (also rocks, etc for noise) the dog couldnt chew it but would play with it till he finally fizzled out for awhile...

When I was growing up, we had a big great dane (one of the few we owned)...

When we got it, we also received her favorite toy...
A bowling ball

Dog had a blast with it! lol
Its an option, chances are she won't chew through it

I have the same problem as you Surreal. I have a (about) 17 week old Husky that now weighs 44 lbs. He tears thru every toy we give him.

Thanks for the suggestions guys.

I second that Kong toy!!! Only thing I've found that has been indestructible. It must be good for their mouths, but the King Kong can be a bit heavy. The big 70 pounder has no problem. Next time I'm gonna pick up a smaller one for the other dog(s).

The pet toy that I always get a chuckle from is the rubber barbells, they just look so funny running around with thier "big cheeks"...... (won't last too long with a chewer though)

give ur pup a pet fer me!!!

Here is what she ate in seconds
The sounds it makes are really funny..
Ok the KONG looks like the next one I try!

Pigs ears like potato chips! That's exactly how she eats them!

Thanks guys!

Maybe your dog didn't read the instructions

hehe, What the police do up here for thier dogs is a towel, roll it up corner to corner then tie the 2 ends together, They usually take quite a bit of abuse (they aren't solid but should use a tea towel, preferably an older one you won't get in trouble for wrecking)

They tend to give when the dog bites, rather then breaking like rubber or other hollow materials.

Surreal, A friend has a Bull Mastif, and "Tiny" was a chewing puppy, the size of a german shepard, so they gave him one of these

Just a thought

Those Kongs look like they are shaped to "come out" OK---unless they are swallowed backwards---since your dog inhales things, well---id be careful...
