Brrrr chilly cold

Woke up this morning to a house that was 60F. We ran out of oil last night. The fuel delivery company charges a $75 emergency service fee on top of the already outragous oil prices. Luckily we can use kerosene from the gas station in the mean time. We have 2 10 gal cans that we can use to hold us over till they get here.

BRRRRRRR CHILLY COLD

forgot to mention that with it this cold in here my PC is running at a comfortable 104F with UD running.

Probably be tomorrow till they show up. I have the oven (electric) on right now to get it warmer in here. Once the wife gets home we will get some kerosene with the cans we have. That should last us till they get here.

This is another reason I hate living in this house. In the winter it is drafty and cold. The heat never seems to stay in the house. We even had new replacement windows put in on the first floor to try and keep the heat in.

Those little ceramic heaters (portable) they have at Home Depot and places really crank out heat and they are about a buck a day to run.

If you are looking for heaters, There was a thread a while ago posted in docs deals for radiant heaters, (1000watt) and they really put out heat you can feel, (I have a ceramic and they don't put out enough heat for a medium sized room.

Yeah I used mine in warmer climates but I didn't use the furnace with it. Still I'm sure the outside temp influences the output

Korgul, I feel for ya, I hate the cold. I'm no stranger to cranking on the oven in the mornings, we heat with wood only, and it's chilly in the mornings here.

Good luck, keep warm Dig out the electric blankets
