FINALY Found Decent Book on Upgrading Your PC

Most computer Books are:

1) Obsolete
2) Overlyly Simple or Basic
3) Don't Live Up to Their Title
4) Are Very Expensive

"TechTV's Upgrading Yor PC" , by Mark Soper and Patrick Norton seems very good at avoiding all of the above !

Publisher: QUE
ISBN: 0-7897-2599-1
Price: $24.99 (minus 20 % at Barnes and Noble).***

***UGHHH "Chain" stores.

Learned, for example , that stated compression ratios are unreliable on Travan's due to prior compression. Not all Newbie stuff, though. can be reference for Intermediate Buffs.

Anybody know a decent 'puter book that avoids #'s 1-4 ??

Good site.
Have bookmarked it.
ThanX, psycho

Book is good for reference, too, and for stuff you once knew but now are rusty.

Computers are like a language: You have to use it to learn it and what you no longer use, we tend to forget.

ThanX, Again.
