But grownups need unfiltered reality:

E-mail vetting blocks MPs' sex debate

Just seen that on the news. Quite funny, but not as bad as the number of U turns Blair seems to be pulling with regard to Iraq (read Bush + Chirac)

I am against all censorship except self-imposed.

I don't like others to judge me when I can't judge them in return.

WTH is an MP?!?!?

The article uses the acronym extensively but NEVER defines it! Arghhh

Anyways.. it sounds like an MP is an employee of the gov't of some sort (representative type?) ... if that is the case then the censorship should be allowed seeing as it is business/gov't controlled email for employment.

One thing that bugs me though,is they say "call the helpdesk to release the email"
What if you didn't even know it was coming? Not uncommon with email.
a few weeks later they come back to you and ask if you got their email... nope

The BBC is the British Broadcasting System, and an MP is a Member of Parliament. Brits hardly need the abbreviation defined, any more than you need GI defined -- at least, in context.

I think there are good reasons to block certain things from tying up the resourses of government systems.

It all depends on how far you take it.

Political debate being styfled is rediculous.

but getting pam andersons latest pictorial layout is not exactly worth the tax payers money for server upgrades.
