surreal, it's not "linked to sites or pages with related content". It's linked to a page that's linked to a page with art that might be construed as "related content". The original link comes from Slashdot, as part of a story on various ASCII goings-on.

If you click the first link, you won't find anything embarrassing. If you pursue it further (and I haven't), you'll get to a no-sound, low-resolution thing.

I reported myself to the mods when I posted, and if this really violates policy, I'll be glad to delete the link or have them do so. As I say, it was from a Slashdot news item not mentioning "Deep ASCII".

I should add that I've seen lots of links here that take you to pretty upsetting (though not obscene or pornographic) sites without any warning whatsoever. At least I provided two layers of insulation...

It was a link to an x-rated movie where the RBG pixels had been converted into ASCII text. It was still plenty clear to see exactly what was going on.

You linked to a page with the movie on it... that's NOT ALLOWED.

Offering a warning about content does not exclude you from the rules. No Porn... no links to sites with porn on them!

I had a look at it, it was hardly clear and not worth anyones time anyway. However it is noteworthy, due to the shear effort (and technology) required to turn an entire movie into ASCII text.

Perhaps you could send it to select and grown up people by PM and then it could be distributed through out the forum without causing any trouble, just an idea.
