Our new budget

Bush is proposing a $2.23 TRILLION budget. No judgment intended here, but just for reference, 2.23 trillion one dollar bills laid end to end would stretch out to over 212 MILLION miles. That's from the earth to a point way out past the sun.

And they're still telling me in Massachusetts that they can't afford to fund the raise they promised us in 2001.

That sucks, man.

Not the budget.

the raise.

Or lack of it.

Tell me about it. It was a good-faith negotiated contract and the former ACTING governor decided not to fund it. It was approved by the legislature and the ACTING governor herself, but then she reneged on the deal. Nice, eh? Integrity was not one of her strong points. Truthfully, I never saw ANY strong points.

Yeah, I've been told before, "Instead of a promotion you'll only be not getting a raise this year." I keep praying for the economy to bounce back.

To look at this another way; if you spent $1 million per minute, it would take you 4.24 years to spend that much money.

It is also equivalent to $7,685 for every citizen of the US.

Hmmm. Just about what my raise would have been.
