Okay, I feel I'm fairly open minded, but sometimes enough is enough!

I was researching some php code, and went to see it in action here : http://www.uk8ball.com/ (didn't work real great btw)

I decided to click the forums section and see what they talked about in the uk....... on a forums section there.

Go to the http://www.uk8ball.com/ website and go to the forums section > non-pool > Envious of our American cousins?(thread)

The guy that started the thread was the only one that sounded halfway intelligent. For people that are supposed to be the US's allies, seems like they don't have much use for us Americans. One member even sounds like he is a extremist supporter???

So is it just me, or do these people not seem to get the BIG picture.

Some even making jokes about the shuttle disaster. Not cool, not cool at all. There is a time for jokes, and a time for respecting, it appears some don't know the difference.

Maybe it was just me, maybe I don't get the big picture (although I'd like to think I do) . So was it just me or what???

(BTW I know not all brits are like those posting in the above link........ I don't sterotype a people because of the actions of a few.... but the majority of the posts were very anti-american, and they are our allies????.)

Not quite sure what you mean, it seems to me that one idiot made a tasteless joke and the other posters told him so. Apart from a few minor comments about US foreign policy I don't see anything particularly anti-American.

Maybe I missed something *shrug*

Perhaps it's just me then, but it seemed like it was negative in most of it's tone.

Except for the guy who started the thread........ he actually was sticking up for the US... and he is the one who originally pointed out the negativity towards the US on the site.

I think Jay was the only one that was really out of line.. the rest of it seemed like casual blahblahblah of people chatting. We can't expect people to bow to us and treat us like anything more than people.. thats all we are.. people.. just like everybody else. There will be people that criticize us, and be sure there's plenty that criticize them *shrug*

I don't expect people to "bow" to us.......... I just guess I never realized how some people thought of us. Guess I shouldn't have let it bother me.
