I loved the tower books. I wish eh would finish them. Supposedly, it is a task he does not look forward to. Sites are reporting that he will complete through Vol 8 early in 2004. I really enjoyed the Eyes of the Dragon. It was nothing like anything else he did. If you like the Tower books, you may like it. Tommyknockers and the Stand were great too. It was too slow for me to get into. I put it down after 500 pages. Sheesh! |

Put in another vote for the Dark Tower series
I've read a number of his books, he can be a bit long winded at times.. I read Tommy Knockers in a record 2 years I think lol
Although needful things, and IT didn't take nearly that long and they're both big books.. tommyknockers just got a bit too long winded to keep going sometimes.
I also really enjoy Dean Koontz, his books aren't nearly as long but very good IMO (another horror story writer, and the source of my nick name Vassago in the book Hideaway)

i second that about Dean Koontz, excellent writer. Watchers is my favorite book of that genre.
