But there's two ways to make that piece work...
it IS kewl lookin'... 
1) use everything except the desktop, and make your own--same depth, but increase the
length to accomodate printer, more peripherals and stuff, (and use the lower shelf for you powerbar only) OR---
2) Put a keyboard/mouse pull-out under the desktop. This will tend to move you back from that lower shelf, and make you
that much happier!
