The do not call list that is.
Ever get tired of those telemarketers calling with some sort of promotion. What about the ones that have a computer call and when you answer there is not one there. Well not you can fight back. Check the Do Not Call List to see if your state participats win the program.

Luckily PA does

In addition to establishing the national “do not call” registry, the amended TSR calls for other changes, including limiting abandoned calls, restricting unauthorized billing and requiring telemarketers to transmit Caller ID information.

This is the part that I like because what is to stop a telemarketer from calling and you not being able to *69 or caller ID them.

Luckily up here, I am already on the "list" and also have an unlisted number.

damn i was hoping VA would be on there, funny thing i was looking to see if Va had a no list today. Sadly they don't i must get about 20 - 45 telemarket calls. no joke

This was one law that was long overdue, in my opinion...

I signed up on our list here in Minnesota back in early December, and since it took effect I haven't gotten any calls.

None!
