Webophobia,popups,and stupid people

I and a friend the other night we were chatting, and he wanted Kazaalite, and I gave him the Addy. If you've been there lately it's terrible with popups. I hate them as much as the next guy, but sometimes you have to deal with them if ya want the proggie right?
He chewed me out,and imediately closed the page
I don't get it,am I missing something here. I mean he got the regular Kazaa because of these popups. He wouldn't even enter a website I have because of the popups( I'm too cheap to pay for hosting for a personal site )

Anyone else have webophobia over popups? Or is he just a nut??

I'm leaning toward the later

Or he's confusing the popups for a virus. Is anyone that inept??

you could get him a browser that stops popups.. don't think mozilla's or opera's pages have popups either

He needs a popupstopper.

Simple.

Sounds like he has some sort of problem, though. He should not chew you out because of popups. Unless he has a morbid fear of viruses or something beacuse he read in Reader's Digest that viruses come from popups. Maybe he just needs correct info.

Or maybe he always sees porn popups for some reason and he's embarrassed by them?

Cheers
Mick

BC, for the longest time, I thought your Avatar was a virus, and I would.... j/k

Seriously, though, you mustn't be surprised at what the less-than computer literate folks come up with, in terms of crazy considerations.... like me sometimes...

James Thurber's grandmother used to insist that any of "them new-fangled light sockets" had better have a bulb in it....

Otherwise that 'lectricity would go leaking out all over the place...

Well, of course!

Sounds like this friend of yours is a real whackjob, IMO.

Doesn't wanna deal with the popups, which will take him 5 seconds to close, in order to get an app - for free .. ?

TOUGH LUCK.

x2

<---that guy is full of viruses

I did send him to get AVG anti virus before that, I thought it strange he would react like that over a popup. Shoot I'm surprised if there's not one anymore.

Popup stopper is a good idea mick, but the button to click to download it is on a popup. They thought of everything didn't they.
