Why do some hate UPS so much?

Most of my stuff that I ordered online is shipped UPS and they seem to do their job alright but somewhat slower then expected... but I still get my package.
Link was dead so I deleted. oh well, maybe it wasn't worth looking anyway

I've had no problems with UPS, Nor with FedEx, still think they should merge (FedUPS) Only had one incedent with UPS and it was one of thier "sub-contractors" who delivered a 21Inch Monitor, and dropped it, smashing the face, UPS said they had to prove it was packaged right since the guy who recieved the whole shipment (1 full skid) signed for it already. The skid was broken down.

I always get my packages in perfect condition, (This includes a retail vid card that was just wrapped in brown paper)

Hi Sugardaddy,

There was a thread here not long ago about a UPS guy who dropped a monitor of the bed of his truck, needless to say it was Fu@&ed.

It's so bad that some have refused to order from any place that does business with UPS like googlegear, computergeeks, and many other online merchant. Woudn't that limit to what you can buy if you only purchase from seller that uses Fedex exclusively?

Why do I dislike UPS? They leave my packages at my door and walk away. No knock or anything. Just set it down and walk away.

they have left Items valued at $200+ in this manner. What ever happened to getting a signature?

For us International folks, their brokerage fee is astronomical ($30-45CAN) when the item is only worth $50. Total rip off. They also "driver released" over $2000 worth of car parts this past summer that happened to get stolen. The place I bought the parts from sent me new parts and they were going to get things straightened out with UPS. I don't know how that turned out.

FedEx, Purolator and USPS haven't given me any problems.
