City or Country
I lived in the country for most of my life, and loved it. The only problem was that I had no friends because I lived so far away from my school. Most people lived by the school. I didn't have any neighborhood friends because there was none to be had. Well, I was friends with this one girl.
Okay I had a few friends, but we didn't do much. That's not the point.
I now live in a residential section of a city. It's not downtown by any means but there is a lot of traffic. I live it here because I am close to everything, except if I have to cross the bridge. The bridge is a big bottleneck and all my friends (that still remain) and family live on the "other" side.
I am here for school, but am pondering whether to stay or not. I am making friends here in college, but they, too, are from all over. Some even come from Bellingham, WA, and it takes them about 4 hours to get to school. If the border is bad then they miss class.
Ok enough with the friends. I live in a "rich old people" neighborhood. (I live with my grandma...) I am the only one with cable in this neighborhood so it is fast....(sort of)
I loved the country. I had 5 acres, a tractor, outdoor pool, forest, a pond fields, etc. I really liked it.
I now live with an indoor pool, my two cats, and the entire basement to myself. The backyard is smaller than the basement, however.
I hate traffic, but can live with it. I like the city because of my close proximity to computer places, shopping centers, gym etc. Most are 5-10 mins away.
I hate being far away from everything (30+ mins), but love the naturesque side of living in the country.
So what do you think? City or Country? I want to be a web designer, and working for somebody I would WANT to live on the city side of the bridge. (Rush hour goes to the city side, then back at night.) But I love the country.
City=Convenience
Country=Nice
