I see nothing wrong with her singing America the Beautiful. She did a great job. That song is sung quite a bit these days before the national anthem.

I didn't say she did it badly, as a matter of fact it was beautiful. Just very odd that a French-Canadian singing "God Bless American my home sweet home" Couldn't they find a Americna singer??

Hehehe. I thought it was funny that we had another Canadian, Shania Twain, providing some of the half-time entertainment. Her, along with Gwen Stefani looked very hot and the crowd was rocking!

I find nothing wrong with someone that LIVES and WORKS amongst the U.S. singing God Bless America.
Since I am half Japanese, but lived in the U.S. my whole life does that exclude me from singing the song?

had a kid (I think), and is making her first concert--actually, public appearnce as a "mega singer" (huh?) at the Superball.

Remember some singer--don't remember who--who did a travesty of the US Antham or "america.." at some big event?

No problem with a Canadien or anyone else--in my book.

So long as they don't make a travesty out of it.
