I'm not sure if it is out of ignorance or not, but it is pretty uncool.

Well it is pretty uncool indeed, I think they were not thinking ethics when taking the picture but rather what looked good to the media ethics aside.

America's flag should NEVER touch soil

On top of that she is sitting on the flags

When a flag is not flying, it is to be properly folded and stored. Period.

This picture is very disrespectful the Stars & Stripes, and totally in very poor taste.

Probably ingnorance on both her's and the Photographers' (plural) part.

Not many "Youngins" are taught that or many other things anymore.

Well, if you don't calm down - you'll probably end up suffering a brain aneurism and pass away. And then whether or not the flag is touching soil is going to be the least of your worries.



My guess would be that it was simple ignorance on her part, as well as the person/people taking the picture.
