The best-looking proposal for Ground Zero

was designed by an architect who's been dead since 1926. Antonio Gaudi, whose Sagrada Familia Cathedral in Barcelona is the world's masterpiece of neo-Baroque art, planned this hotel skyscraper for New York in 1906.

Sure looks good to me.

Very interesting, it'll be nice to have that space as a memorial (they mentioned a space inside the building for it)

It's a bit cheesy looking. It wouldn't blend well in a city of angles and planes.

...but it's pre-BuckRogerian. The design is from 1906; Gaudi died in 1926; the first solo transAtalantic flight was in 1927; Philip Francis Nowlan's Armageddon -- 2419 AD appeared in Amazing in 1928.
