Heard a great story this a.m. about the war protests

It seems a resident of SF, who lives near the Cliffhouse, was out walking his dog on Saturday morning when a car with out of state plates and full of scruffy individuals passed him by then came to a stop. They waited for him to catch up to them and then asked him "Hey man, which way to the protest?" Well the resident of SF decided to exercise his right of free speech and gave them directions that sent them off 180° in the wrong direction. They were last seen headed down the coast towards Santa Cruz.

Just goes to show ya, sometimes it's the small personal protest that have the most meaning.

I am.

Sorry, I'm just not for the anti-American protesters. And that's exactly what they are, anti-American, not anti-war.

"Thanks guys, As MY FRIENDS are being killed in this sensless war I will remember this and try not to think to badly of you."

What makes this a senseless war?

"The war protest is a free speech thing too. So ONE persons(biased) opinions affects several persons attempt to do right"

Mighty white of you to let the anti war protestors do "right" with their unbiased anti war protest.

Anti war protests are dangerous if they are likely to not actually remove the threat of war. If they weaken the resolve for war they may yield a poorly executed war.

A war fought half way results in little but dead people. If the public opinion is swayed the likelyhood of going to war is still 100% But the war may not be executed properly in an attempt to keep the anti war folks happy. As a result you could have a war that ends up killing more costing more and yielding less.

Saddam may die in it but with out an unconditional surrender and a marshal type plan, it is likely to yield nothing.

So perhaps the anti war protestors might be the cause of a futile war. Where your friends will have died for nothing as well as the peoples of Iraq having died for same.

So I hope those scruffy people end being the ones who would sway public opinion and I hope they drive forever.

Another incident over the weekend involved a group of veterans. These were mostly 60-70 year old men. They were taunted and threatened with violence from the anti-American protesters to point were the police were forced to surround the veterans because they were afraid something violent was going to erupt. I guess these anti-American types are your "friends" huh Vern?
