What's your computers name?

I'm wonder what everyone's computer name is?

I never named a pc before, but i'm building my own and i have no idea what to call it.

If you name your pc tell me your name for it!

If I had to give them names it would be
Mine
Hers
then of course theres old 524, and dad's 500(deceased father-inlaws cpu.)

Most anything else I have called a computer I can't print here.

I call 'em what they are for. Mine's Dad, wifes' is Mum, dau's is her name, son's is his name, one in the family room is Family , then there's the Prioris server whcih is Prioris, Backup which is... well..., a spare one.. , and K62300 and P2-233 which is self explanatory. And don't forget IPCop my, firewall box. Building a Celeron 533 which will probably be Cel533. Original, ain't I?

Names I only really use for the LAN so I can tell 'em apart. I don't normally talk aboiut them by name, mind, just for ID on the LAN and in VNC.

If you ain't on a LAN, why name it anyway??

You know, like "The beast" ect... cool names for it.

Well, you could go for car names I suppose.

If it's fast and mean looking, call it Lamborghini.

If its fast and ugly, call it Corvette.

It's its slow and expensive, calls it Rolls.

It's it's slow and ugly, call it Pinto.

You get the idea, anyway.

My DV rig (main rig) is Cealum. Cealum is greek for the artists chisle. It's also a constalation.

My secondary rig is called Intrepid after the carrier from Wing Commander 4.

My new 486DX2 66Mhz laptop has the temp name of 1337 n 7r41n1ng.

I usually go with constalation names, or star ship names from sci fi shoes, and PC games.

I call it TachSys. "Tach" being the greek word for "swift" or "fast" and “Sys” is short for system.
