Mother-in-law (MIL) Blues...
Anyone know of a sure fire way to get rid of a pest?
My MIL has been here for 2 weeks to "help" with our 2 month old son while my wife went back to work.
I need a way to make her see she is meddling in our lives, and leave us alone without totally turning her against my Wife and I.
I have always heard the Rabid MIL stories that people talk about, but you never really understand until it happens to you...
HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLPPPPP MMMMMMMEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

I think you might take a clue from your on-line name in here.
Failing that, just start walking around the house naked that usually does it |

Bopper,
My oldest and dearest friend has been fighting the "good fight" against his MIL for 25 years now! He calls her "Der Heine"! Seig Heil!!! He's even considered some sort of poison that is non traceable! That's how desperate he is after all these years! He prays every day that she'll go quitely in the night, afterall, she's 85 and all she does is make his life a misery, whenever and whereever she can! I'm so very glad I don't have an MIL to deal with. |

Wow! The walking around the house naked thing just sounds crazy enough to work!
I would use Poison, but i'd be afraid she would die in my house, and then her spirit would be locked into it, infecting it for an eternity.

Bopper,
You have a point there! She's probably mean enough that she'd haunt you forever! All joking aside, my old friend and I have really considered doing away with her! He truly believes she's going to live forever! Needless to say, whenever I crossed her path, I was nothing more than one of her son-in-law's miscreant buddies! Duh. She's a mean spirited old woman and I truly think Der Furer would have loved her approach to life! Bopper, you have it made compared to this one!

Tell her how you feel in a polite way. Consider learning some NLP and use it.
I once saw my MIL nude we moved out shortly afterwards. That may be the ticket.

Just put 7even in the dvd player and put it on repeat OR pause it on the gluttony dead guy and say, "Thats what I want to do w/ my life, eat till I croak."

MUDER IS ILLEAGAL!!! Not worth it IMO, so either have a talk with her, and explain it to her, with your wifes support, and presence of course.
otherwise hope shes not turned on while you try to turn her off

Actually, that's a distinct point: Is your wife aware of your feelings and where does she stand on this?
After all, it's her mother we're talking about here. I don't think it would be inappropriate or wimpy to ask your wife to intervene, especially if she feels the same way and is also on good terms at all with your resident demon... I mean, with your MIL.
Your wife should speak with your MIL in private first, and then you could speak with her, too. if you can present a united front, I think it would be best, and this way might avoid some bad feelings.
Of course, this all assumes you're dealing with a person who is at all resonable...

Stop buying/paying for food, when thiers nothing left to eat she'll leave, starvation tactics works in just about every case.
Or ask her to go to the store, change to locks and call the cops |
