Update: part 1 complete

I've just returned from taking my written comprehensive exams.

I had 11 classes, but the max they want you take is 9, but they only combined 2 classes into 1 exam so I took 10.

I started on the exams at 1:30 pm this afternoon.

20 minute break at 7:30 pm for dinner

Finished the exams at 12:00 am (20 minutes ago).

Unfortunately I've likely failed one of the exams, meaning if I don't redeem myself in that subject in the 6 upcoming oral examinations, I'll have to retake (a different one of course) that exam.

EDIT: 24 people within my major were taking the exams, when I finished, 4 were still going with considerable work left.

That was the most difficult thing I've ever done.

I just finished my field comp and 2 out of 6 of the oral comps, and I may have redeemed myself enough to not have to retake the exam... I've got my fingers crossed anyway.
