Pledge of Alliegence ?????
Having been out of grammar school since 1958, I was curious as to whether the Pledge of Alliegence was part of the every day business in the claasrrom and was the Star Spangled BNanner sang every morning??? I started in public school and subsequently went on to Pharocial ( Catholic ) school. "Irregardless" of which ever school I was enrooled in, the ceremony of the Pledge and the singing of our National Anthem was the first ( and to me ) the most important part of our day. It set things off for the rest of the classroom experience. It brought the class together on common ground and equal footing. " In the land of the free and the home of the brave" What better words than to begin your day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
