It's really happening

i just wanted to let you guys know that one of my best friends here who is a reservist in the marine corp just got called up. he's going to be doing active duty for 6 months to a year and will (almost certainly) end up in Iraq. The Marines are deploying 3 divisions to kuwait, and for those of you that don't know there are only 4 divisions in the entire corp. even tho we can't *technically* say that we are going to war for certain, it would really take something pretty spectacular to stop it. so i ask that you keep him and all of our armed forces in your prayers as this thing is really happening.

I'll keep him (and every man and woman in the Armed Forces) in my prayers, alright, but ya know what? I don't believe it.

I think what's happening here is that our Administration recognizes that the Iraqis are merely giving us a "show" as regards the so-called "weapons inspection" process. They (the Iraqis) are a bunch of liars.

So the three divisions of Marines are being deployed to give Mr. Hussein a message to consider. Even HE must know that the Marines mean business, and the message is:

"We are ready on a moment's notice to take you out, and your entire family, plus every member of your government, as well as every person you ever knew. Please discard all weapons of mass destruction, as failure to do so will most certainly result in the destruction of everything you understand to be real. Have a nice day."

U got it man. im in the same boat as you are. i am a senior in high school. one of my good friends who is one year older than me and graduated last year went to the marines as soon as he graduated. i havent heard from him but i would bet money that he is already overseas. good luck to all our armed forces.
