We Are All Sims

If you think about it, the people online who form communities such as this are creating a sorta Sim-like life. We have pics(avatars) to represent ourselves, there's live chats, continuing conversations, expressions of emotions, advice and other social attributes. I personally like this TechIMO community. It is diverse and global.

In fact, I like it so much that I am not going to have to "get a life" and pay $10./month to be and inhabit parasitically, a "real Sim".

That game sounds interesting but not worth the $50. Like you said I have a free version called real life! It's much better, with greater rewards, and better friends (also it has pets )

My wife was a beta tester for it. She didn't like it as much as she thought she would ( we own every expansion pack plus more ).

I'd much rather be involved in a message board community than an online persona/game character. One, I get to go at my own pace. Two, if I miss something I can always go back and read it and catch up. Three, if I'm not compelled to contribute every second I'm at the message board, and no one is going to bug me by trying to kiss me or tickle me! Argh! Stay away! Leave me be!

The Sims is just boring to me. To slow, to repetitive (sp?). I agree though, Techimo is a cool place to come.
