so i want your verdict. /me votes for the zeppelin!

personally not to thread crap but i think both = the suckage.

but if i had to vote id say metallica

the way i see it is thus:

metallica - metal, metal doesnt float.

led zeppelin, also metal but it's a zeppelin! BEHOLD IT FLOATETH IN THE AIR!

Led has been a constant force in music for 30 years and their music is still consistently requested more than any music on rock stations. They were revolutionary in their style and were extremely talented at all positions including chemistry of the band.

Metallica is good, but there are many bands that I would put ahead of them to compare with Led(, yet all would lose). Metallica has also sold out and become commercial and, IMO, unlistenable since they came out with the Black album. Metallica had 4 good albums in Kill em All, RTL, MoP and AJfA, but the rest is crap with not even one single good tune (with the exception of Black and Garage Days ReReVisited which both had a couple).

Led Zep>>>>>>Metallica.

I would highly doubt if even the fine gentlemen of MetallicA would argue at the sheer musical talent that each member of Zeppelin had at they chosen set of instruments (JP Jones included BC!)

Regardless, I think that Daveleau hit the nail on the head. Led Zeppelin has and continues to be a powerful influence in the music industry. Not only were they masters of Blues and Rock, they were also constantly innovating within the musical realm.

MetallicA is good. They rock pretty hard, but are they amazing? i don't believe so...

haha... did you see the cover of the new WIRED? It features the cover of a Led Zeppelin album. (I just thought that was interesting)
